The Ascent Church

We offer a dynamic children’s ministry called Ascent Kids as well as life-changing Student Ministry. One of the easiest things to do at The Ascent Church is to participate in a small group. Groups meet throughout the Monument and Colorado Springs area and provide a place for Bible study, fellowship, and support. Wherever you live, there’s a small group near you.

Ascent Women are a joy-filled group of Jesus followers. We are blown away daily by God’s love for us through Jesus Christ. We desire to love and serve each other and our community so that people will be drawn to the Savior because of His great love for them, experienced through Ascent Women.

El Paso County Department of Human Services
Each year, the Department of Human Services Adoption Unit completes approximately 100 adoptions. There are many children and teens in Colorado who are waiting for a family. Children and teens waiting for adoption share a lot of common ground with any child or teen you may know.
Safe Families For Children
We’re committed to serving families in crisis by partnering with local churches, where families open their homes and lives to vulnerable children.
We create extended family–like supports for desperate families through a community of devoted volunteers who are motivated by faith to keep children safe and keep families intact. Safe Families started with the belief to defend the cause of the weak and the fatherless. Since our humble beginnings, we’ve helped increase the footprint of Safe Families throughout the United States. In these areas, our goals are to:
- Prevent child abuse and neglect
- Strengthen and stabilize the family
- Reduce the number of children going into foster care
Heart Connection Counseling
Choose from individual therapy, couple’s therapy, play therapy for children, or family therapy custom-tailored to you and your loved ones. Christian, faith-based counseling is also available. Treatment is aligned to your unique values, beliefs, needs, and goals. Let us work together to identify where you are at now and to develop a therapeutic plan to achieve the changes you want to see in yourself, your child, or your relationship.

Colorado Kids Ranch - Johnny Pumpkinseed
Johnny Pumpkinseed is a 501c3 nonprofit that operates to enrich the lives of Foster Care children and families and Special Needs children and families. We offer admission to our play area and a free pumpkin to kids and families for them to be able to experience moments of Joy together in the fall without the overhead of expense. We feel like this population is often overlooked and marginalized. We know their situation has trying times that most are unaware of and if we can just be part of generating a smile and moments of Joy we feel like that has value in the lives of the families who participate.
